Baltimore walk-in shooting victim enters hospital with fatal gunshot wound

BALTIMORE, MD — A 36-year-old man died Friday after being shot in the 3000 block of Oakley Avenue and seeking treatment at a nearby hospital.

Northwest District patrol officers were called to the hospital at approximately 11:26 a.m. to investigate a walk-in shooting victim. Medical personnel rushed the man into surgery, but he was pronounced dead despite life-saving efforts.

Preliminary reports indicate the victim was shot by an unidentified suspect on Oakley Avenue before arriving at the hospital.
