BALTIMORE, MD – Charlotte Mattison, a Baltimore resident, hit it big with a $100,000 win after playing two identical Pick 5 tickets for the Dec. 2 evening drawing, Maryland Lottery officials announced.

Mattison purchased her lucky tickets at Parkside Liquors on Sinclair Lane, choosing the numbers 3-1-4-1-3 based on advice from a friend who suggested using past winning numbers. Her $1 straight bet on each ticket resulted in two top-prize wins, totaling $100,000.

The longtime Lottery player has a history of success, previously winning a $100,000 prize in a Lottery second-chance promotion in 1997. She plans to use her latest windfall to pay off her mortgage and help her sister purchase a car, with hopes of continuing to play for future wins.

Parkside Liquors, the retailer that sold the winning tickets, will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for its role in the sale.
