Bay Shore Man Who Pulled Gun During Neighborhood Dispute Heading to Prison

SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y. – Timothy Garcia, 32, from Bay Shore, has been found guilty of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree and related charges.

The verdict was delivered after a jury trial overseen by Supreme Court Justice, the Honorable Timothy P. Mazzei.

The charges stemmed from an incident on May 27, 2022, where Garcia was involved in a dispute with a neighbor in Bohemia. Suffolk Police, responding to a 911 call about a man with a firearm, arrested Garcia after a brief struggle.

During the arrest, a handgun and two additional illegal magazines were recovered from Garcia. All the weapons were loaded, and an additional switchblade was found in Garcia’s possession.

Following his conviction on Thursday, Garcia now faces potential imprisonment of up to 15 years.
