Beer, brass, and scarecrows set to take over Peddler’s Village OctoberFeast

Lahaska, PA – Peddler’s Village will transform into a fall festival ground when its ninth annual OctoberFeast returns Saturday and Sunday, October 11 and 12, drawing thousands for live music, Bavarian eats, and the Village’s famous scarecrow competition.

The two-day celebration runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and features a beer garden, Oktoberfest-inspired food, and performances by Polkadelphia, the Philadelphia German Brass Band, and the Galena Brass Band. Six restaurant tents and food trucks will offer seasonal favorites, while activities range from axe-throwing and pumpkin painting to a petting zoo and lawn games. Admission is free, with VIP packages available that include priority parking and dining perks.

Adding to the fall spectacle is the “Scarecrows in the Village” display, which showcases more than 200 handmade scarecrows crafted by local residents and organizations. Guests can cast votes for their favorites via the Peddler’s Village mobile app or paper ballot through October 13.

The Halloween season will also bring a lineup of themed events: the adults-only Deadly Silent Disco Party on Friday, October 24, the Slightly Batty Halloween Wing-Ding for kids on Saturday, October 25, and a Trick-or-Treat in the Village on Sunday, October 26, offering free candy at five locations. Hart’s Tavern will host a Halloween Happy Hour October 27–31 with costume discounts on drinks and appetizers.

Following OctoberFeast, Peddler’s Village shifts into holiday mode. The Apple Festival takes place November 1–2, followed by A Night with Mrs. Claus on November 7. Holiday Kickoff Weekend, November 14–16, unveils the annual million-light display and Gingerbread Competition, capped by the 25th annual Grand Illumination Celebration on November 14. The deadline to enter the gingerbread contest is November 5.

Peddler’s Village hosts more than two million visitors annually, with seasonal events remaining a central draw for the Bucks County landmark.
