Bergenfield police looking for owner of lost dog found on Halloween night

BERGENFIELD, N.J. – Police are asking for the public’s help locating the owner of a friendly dog that was found wandering on Halloween night after apparently getting separated while out during trick-or-treating.

The dog was found near Merritt Avenue and Chestnut Street, according to a post from the Bergenfield Police Department.

Officers said the animal is safe and being cared for while efforts continue to reunite it with its family.
