Bicyclist Dies in Collision with Car in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, PA – A fatal accident involving a bicycle and a car occurred at the intersection of Market Street and River Street.

On Tuesday at 4:45 PM, Wilkes-Barre Police responded to the crash scene. The investigation revealed that a 36-year-old male bicyclist, traveling west on Market Street, was struck by a southbound white Hyundai as he entered the intersection with River Street.

Emergency response teams secured the scene, and the bicyclist received treatment on-site before being transported to a hospital. He was pronounced deceased. The police have launched an ongoing investigation.
