Bicyclist Killed in Hit and Run at West Franklin and Payson Streets

Baltimore, MD – Baltimore Police are investigating a fatal hit and run that claimed the life of a 47-year-old male bicyclist in the early hours of February 4. The incident occurred at the intersection of West Franklin Street and Payson Street around 12:25 a.m.

Responding to the scene, officers learned that an unidentified vehicle had struck the bicyclist as he was crossing the intersection. The vehicle involved in the collision fled the scene, leaving the victim with life-threatening injuries. Despite the efforts of medics who arrived quickly to administer life-saving measures, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Baltimore Police Department’s CRASH team has taken over the investigation, working to gather evidence and information that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the individual responsible for this tragic incident.
