WATERBURY, CT — A lucky player in Waterbury took home $55,593 in the May 8 CASH5 drawing, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

The winning ticket was sold at BJ’s Wholesale Club #037, located in Waterbury. The player matched all five numbers to claim the full jackpot prize for that evening’s draw.

CASH5 is a daily draw game in Connecticut that gives players a chance to win by selecting five numbers from a field of 1 to 35. Jackpot prizes vary depending on ticket sales and the number of winners in each draw.

Winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. The identity of the Waterbury winner has not been disclosed as of Friday.
