Blood trail leads cops to gunshot victim on Comet Court

BALTIMORE, Md. — A 40-year-old man was hospitalized early Monday after being found with gunshot wounds in the Central District, according to Baltimore Police.

Officers responded around 12:59 a.m. to a report of a shooting victim on the 1000 block of Comet Court. Upon arrival, they discovered the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Police say the man was shot earlier while in the 1000 block of New Hope Circle, not far from where he was later found. He was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive, authorities confirmed.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. Detectives have not released any information about a suspect or motive as of Tuesday.
