Bloomfield Drug Dealer Charged for Overdose Deaths of Three in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, PA – A man who was accused of delivering drugs to three people who overdosed in Pittsburgh has been charged for their deaths today.

According to the Pittsburgh Police Department, on Wednesday, narcotics and vice detectives arrested James Hamlett, 43, of Bloomfield in connection with a Friday night incident that resulted in the overdose deaths of three individuals.

Police said two male victims and one female victim were found deceased inside a residence in the 100 block of S.18th Street.

“Hamlett faces multiple felony charges including drug delivery resulting in death and aggravated assault, as well as recklessly endangering another person and prohibited acts,” police said.

He was transported to the Allegheny County Jail from Police Headquarters.
