Carteret, NJ – On Tuesday, members of Blue Cares, the Carteret Police Department, and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office collaborated with thirty local vendors to raise awareness and provide resources to the Carteret community. The event focused on supporting those dealing with substance use disorders.

The Blue Cares initiative by Middlesex County law enforcement aims to aid individuals facing substance use issues. It works in partnership with community stakeholders to implement effective treatment and preventative strategies, aiming to disrupt addiction cycles and encourage recovery.

Key features of Blue Cares include a 24-hour helpline accessible to individuals or their loved ones seeking assistance, information, or recovery help. Importantly, accessing the hotline does not require insurance.

Community members are encouraged to utilize the hotline by calling 732-596-4199 for support.
