JOHNSTOWN, PA — Brian Bradley Giles was convicted on Thursday for the murder of his wife, Nancy Giles, who was found in a shallow grave in 2019. Following his conviction, Cambria County authorities discovered human remains in the basement of the Johnstown home where the couple previously resided.

Brian Giles reacted to his conviction with a mixture of humor and bitterness. “Nope, I’m innocent, but if this is what they want to do let them do it, man,” Giles said in an interview with Johnstown Fox affiliate WWCP. “I’ve been railroaded before. It’s all good. There ain’t nothing I can hope for, right? Everybody got what they wanted.”

Over the course of the investigation, Giles reportedly changed his account of events 18 times, according to prosecutors.

The discovery of additional human remains came not only after his murder conviction but also during the ongoing search for his missing girlfriend, Jilly Todaro. Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees stated, “This is going to be a lengthy investigation and methodical process in removing these remains.”
