Body found on road in White Oak in apparent dirt bike crash

WHITE OAK, Pa. — A man died early Monday morning after a dirt bike crash in the 1200 block of Long Run Road, prompting an investigation by Allegheny County police.

Allegheny County 9-1-1 received a call at 1:18 a.m. reporting a person lying in the road. When first responders arrived, they found an adult male victim deceased at the scene.

Initial findings from the Collision Reconstruction and Homicide Unit indicate the man had been riding a street legal dirt bike when he hit a guard rail.

County detectives have launched an investigation into the incident. As of Monday, the identity of the victim had not been released, and no additional vehicles were reported to be involved.

“Preliminary information shows the victim was riding a street legal dirt bike and struck a guard rail,” police said in a statement.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Allegheny County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers may remain anonymous.

The investigation remains active.
