Boil water advisory issued after water main break in Parsippany

PARSIPPANY, N.J. — The Parsippany-Troy Hills Water Department has issued a boil water advisory for residents in the South Powder Mill section following a water main break on Old Dover Road.

The advisory, announced Monday, affects customers south of Route 10 along Powder Mill Road South, Old Dover Road, Glenmont Commons, Mountain Way (north of Old Dover Road), Union Hill Road, Puddingstone Road, Beverly Street, and Violet Street.

Officials reported that the break caused significant water pressure loss and service disruptions in the affected areas.

The advisory warns of a potential threat to water quality, and residents are urged to boil their water before use until further notice.

Updates will be provided as water quality testing continues. For more information, residents are encouraged to visit www.parsippany.net.

This precautionary measure underscores the ongoing infrastructure challenges impacting local water systems.
