Boston Police Arrest Suspect in Stabbing Incident Near Charles Street

BOSTON, MA – A stabbing incident in downtown Boston led to the swift arrest of 19-year-old Kymani Walker from Mattapan. The arrest occurred around 4:00 PM on Saturday, July 27, 2024, following a reported assault near 215 Charles Street.

Upon arrival at the scene, Boston Police officers from District A-1 found an adult male victim with multiple stab wounds. Boston EMS quickly transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was treated for injuries deemed non-life-threatening.

Initial reports indicated that the assailant fled towards the rear of the Liberty Hotel. Following a description broadcasted by the officers, Massachusetts State Police located Walker near Teddy Ebersol’s Red Sox fields. He was promptly arrested and charged with armed assault to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Walker is expected to face these charges in Boston Municipal Court as the investigation continues. This incident underscores the rapid response capabilities of local law enforcement in collaboration with state police to ensure public safety.
