“Patients need a friend in Trenton to advocate for them on health insurance payments, coverage, and other insurance issues,” said Bramnick (R-21).

Bramnick’s new legislation, S-3689, creates an independent Office of the Consumer Insurance Advocate within the Department of Banking and Insurance.

The advocate would be responsible for representing the interests of New Jersey consumers on insurance matters that are considered by the Legislature, Executive, and Judicial branches of State government and other government entities.
