Suffolk County, NY – A 21-year-old woman from Brentwood was seriously injured in a head-on collision with a tractor-trailer on Suffolk Avenue. Suffolk County Police reported that the accident occurred when the woman, driving a 2010 Honda Civic westbound, collided with an eastbound 2017 Freightliner at the intersection of Wicks Road.
The woman was rushed to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The 24-year-old man driving the Freightliner, from Westbury, was unharmed in the incident.
