The Brick Township School Board on Thursday night named Thomas Gialanella as interim superintendent and terminated the contract of interim superintendent Richard Caldes. Caldes had served in that capacity since May 2015. He returns to his post an as education specialist in the district.
“I don’t think it’s fair – I don’t have a vote in this process.” Board member John Barton, who abstained from voting because of a personal conflict of interest.
