Brick Township Edges Out Jackson Liberty in 12-7 Victory

BRICK, NJ – Brick Township secured a 12-7 win against Jackson Liberty on Friday, keeping their season record unblemished at 2-0.

Ryan Bontorno and Christian Booker led the offense for Brick Township, with Bontorno passing for 65 yards and Booker rushing for 79. Jacob Toye and Christian Booker scored the only touchdowns of the game for Brick Township, both on runs.

The first quarter saw Jacob Toye run 7 yards for a touchdown, though the following kick failed. The second quarter remained scoreless, maintaining the 6-0 lead for Brick Township. In the third quarter, Christian Booker extended the lead with a 3-yard run, but again the kick failed. Jackson Liberty finally got on the board in the same quarter with a 1-yard run, making the score 12-7.

Despite their scoring run, Jackson Liberty could not capitalize on momentum, and their offense was kept quiet for most of the game.

The win allows Brick Township to maintain their perfect season, while Jackson Liberty falls to 0-1. Both teams will look ahead to their next matches as they navigate the rest of the season.
