Brick Township Police Officer Suffers Minor Injuries from Shooting Incident

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ – Contrary to prior reports that a Brick Township Police Officer was unharmed after being fired upon on Monday, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer disclosed that the Officer did sustain minor injuries.

The injuries, caused by glass shards from the patrol vehicle’s windshield after being shot at, resulted in the Officer receiving treatment.

The medical treatment was administered at Ocean University Medical Center in Brick Township.

After the treatment, the Officer was released.

The investigation into the shooting continues.
