GEORGETOWN, DE – In a significant breakthrough, Delaware State Police apprehended 24-year-old Lester Alcantara of Bridgeville for his involvement in a Georgetown home burglary. The incident unfolded on March 1, at around 7:21 PM when troopers responded to a burglary report at a Widgeon Road residence.

Upon arrival, authorities noted that an intruder had gained entry through a bedroom window, causing disruption inside and absconding with money. Subsequent investigations, which included the recovery of latent fingerprints, led to the identification of Alcantara as the primary suspect. An arrest warrant was secured for him on March 29.

The Seaford Police Department successfully detained Alcantara on the same day, later transferring him to Troop 4’s custody. During processing, officers discovered thirty-one Oxycodone pills concealed in Alcantara’s belt line. He faces multiple charges and, after arraignment, was held at Sussex Correctional Institution on a $5,000 secured bond.
