Broad Daylight Shooting Claims Life of 38-Year-Old in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, NY – A 38-year-old man was shot and killed in Brooklyn on Tuesday, in an incident that unfolded in broad daylight.

The shooting occurred on Vermont St. near New Lots Ave. in East New York, around 2:20 p.m., as reported by the New York City Police Department.

Witnesses, including Nasr Almnssb, an employee at a nearby deli, described hearing about 10 shots. Almnssb noted that the perpetrators appeared young, estimating that there were five or six suspects involved in the incident.

Responding officers found the victim on the pavement, suffering from a chest gunshot wound. Despite prompt medical attention and transportation to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, the victim succumbed to his injuries.

A local resident, known as Troub, highlighted the victim’s role as a family man, often seen with his children. The identity of the victim has not yet been released. The NYPD continues to investigate and is actively seeking the shooters.
