Gun pulled and shots fired during Hunts Point beating as suspects flee
BRONX, NY – A late-night dispute inside a Hunts Point building escalated into gunfire and a violent beating, leaving a 40-year-old man injured and three suspects on the run.
The incident occurred Thursday at approximately 11:38 p.m. inside 772 Hunts Point Avenue within the 41st Precinct, according to the NYPD.
Police said the victim became involved in a verbal dispute with three unidentified individuals. During the confrontation, one suspect displayed a firearm and punched the victim in the face.
Authorities said a second individual then struck the victim multiple times in the head with the firearm, causing a laceration. The gun was discharged multiple times during the incident, resulting in property damage.

The victim’s condition beyond the reported head injury was not immediately released.
