Bronx man arrested in fatal December shooting

BRONX, N.Y. — A Bronx man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred late last year, police said.

Anthony Riser, 27, of 1299 Rodman Place, was taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, and two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

The charges stem from a December 21, 2024, shooting that took place at approximately 6:15 p.m. in front of 1295 Rodman Place. Officers responding to a 911 call found a 28-year-old male with gunshot wounds to the face and chest. He was transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities have not released further details about the investigation.
