Early Morning Shooting in the Bronx Leaves One Dead

BRONX, NY – A fatal shooting occurred early Sunday morning at 851 East Tremont Avenue, prompting a swift police response. Upon their arrival, officers discovered 29-year-old Stefon Barnes with a gunshot wound to his right leg.

Emergency Medical Services transported Barnes to Saint Barnabas Hospital in critical condition, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. There have been no arrests, and the investigation is actively continuing.

Barnes was a resident of Frederick Douglass Blvd in the Bronx.
