Bronx man gunned down outside apartment building in late-night shooting

Gunfire cut short Carrion’s night on a quiet Bronx block.

Bronx, NY – A 46-year-old man was fatally shot early Saturday outside his home on Rev. James A. Polite Avenue, police said.

Officers responding to a 911 call around 12:30 a.m. found Amaury Carrion with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso in front of 952 Rev. James A. Polite Avenue, within the 41st Precinct.

Carrion, who lived just a few doors down at 942 Rev. James A. Polite Avenue, was rushed by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, according to authorities.
