Bronx Man Sentenced for 2022 Murder of Former Roommate in Yonkers

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Westchester County District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah announced the sentencing of William Pryor, a 23-year-old Bronx man, to 25 years to life in state prison.

The sentence is for the 2022 murder of Marquis Muniz, a 29-year-old Yonkers resident and Pryor’s former roommate.

Pryor was found guilty of Murder in the Second Degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.

The murder occurred on March 3, 2022, in Muniz’s apartment on Riverdale Avenue in Yonkers, where Pryor shot Muniz 10 times with a .40 caliber pistol.

This act followed approximately one month after Muniz had evicted Pryor, who had been living rent-free for two years. Pryor was arrested on June 30, 2022, following a two-month, multi-state investigation.
