Bronx Shooting Leaves One in Critical Condition, Shot in Head

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred around 12:40 a.m. on Monday at 645 Westchester Avenue, near the St. Mary’s Park Houses.

Officers found a 38-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head upon arrival.

The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals Lincoln and is listed in critical condition. The sequence of events leading up to the shooting remains unclear, but it is reported that the victim had a disagreement with at least one other man.

The New York Police Department is seeking a male suspect in connection to the shooting. No further description is available at this time.
