Bronx, NY – An 18-year-old Bronx man has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that left a 57-year-old man dead earlier this year, police said.

Brandon Sullivan, of Crotona Parkway, was taken into custody and charged with two counts of murder, attempted murder, manslaughter, assault, and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon, according to the NYPD.

The charges stem from a May 18 shooting outside 374 East 188th Street in the Belmont section of the Bronx. Around 6:45 p.m., a 57-year-old man was walking when a gunman opened fire, striking him in the head, police said. The shooter fled eastbound on East 188th Street.

The victim was rushed to Saint Barnabas Hospital in critical condition but later died of his injuries. His identity was not immediately released by authorities.

At the time, investigators circulated surveillance images of a suspect and asked the public for help identifying him. Police did not immediately confirm whether Sullivan was the individual depicted in the images.

Sullivan is expected to be arraigned on the charges.
