BRONX, N.Y. – A 30-year-old woman was killed late Saturday night after being stabbed multiple times inside a Bronx apartment, police said.
New York City Police officers responded around 10:03 p.m. to a 911 call reporting an assault in progress at 1182 Ogden Avenue. When they arrived, they found the victim, identified as Shashamanie Thompson, unconscious and unresponsive with stab wounds to her face and abdomen.
Emergency medical services rushed Thompson to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where she was pronounced dead.
Police said two persons of interest were taken into custody at the scene. Their identities have not yet been released, and no charges had been announced as of Sunday morning.
Detectives from the NYPD’s 44th Precinct are continuing to investigate the circumstances leading up to the fatal stabbing.
