Bronx Woman Sentenced for Stealing Over $700,000 from Non-Profit

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – In a recent announcement by the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, Ingrid Aquino, a 33-year-old Bronx woman, has been sentenced to two to six years in state prison.

Aquino, the former Director of Finance at Hudson Valley Community Services, a division of Cornerstone Family Healthcare, pleaded guilty to Grand Larceny in the Second Degree.

Additionally, she is ordered to pay restitution totaling $704,034.62.

Aquino’s crimes occurred between November 1, 2017, and September 1, 2021, where she wrote around 170 checks from HVCS bank accounts for personal use, including rent.

Her actions were uncovered following an investigation by the District Attorney’s Office, leading to her arrest on May 2, 2022.
