Brooklyn Assault Turns Deadly, Charges Filed

BROOKLYN, MD – On Friday, May 19, police responded to an assault in the 300 block of Arundel Road West in Brooklyn.

The victim, 43-year-old Christopher Michael Wright, was treated for life-threatening injuries. He was transported to an area trauma center where he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, May 20.

Investigators found that a group of 3-4 white males, aged mid 20’s to mid 30’s, arrived at Mr. Wright’s residence regarding an earlier altercation. A physical altercation ensued resulting in Mr. Wright’s injuries.

On Wednesday, after consulting with the State’s Attorney’s Office, detectives issued a warrant for 26-year-old Trevor Garrett Taylor for charges including manslaughter, second-degree assault (3 counts), affray, and disorderly conduct in connection to Mr. Wright’s death.

Mr. Taylor is currently held at Central Holding & Processing in Annapolis.
