Brooklyn Man Arrested on Murder and Weapon Charges

BROOKLYN, NY – An ongoing investigation has led to the arrest of Aaron Granton, a 28-year-old Brooklyn resident. The arrest occurred early Saturday morning, July 27, at 3:10 AM in the 60th Precinct. Granton faces charges of second-degree murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

This case stems from an incident on Saturday, July 13, around 6:26 PM, when police were called to 68 Marcus Garvey Boulevard in response to a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found 32-year-old Deon Williams with a gunshot wound to the torso. Williams was transported to Kings County Hospital by EMS but was later pronounced dead.

Granton, who resides at 67 Marcus Garvey Boulevard, was apprehended without incident. The charges reflect the severity of the accusations, including his alleged involvement in Williams’s death.
