Brooklyn store sells $50,000 Powerball third prize winning ticket
BROOKLYN, NY – A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Brooklyn for the February 23 drawing, according to the New York Lottery.
The third-prize-winning ticket was purchased at Ideal Food Basket, located at 2036 Bedford Ave. in Brooklyn.
Powerball players win $50,000 by matching four white balls and the red Power Ball. The winning numbers for the game are drawn from a field of one to 69, while the red Power Ball is drawn from a separate field of one to 26.
Powerball drawings are televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
