Brooklyn Square Pizza firing up new Marlboro pizzeria

Marlboro, NJ – A New Jersey favorite known for its upside-down square pies is getting ready to expand again. Brooklyn Square Pizza will open its fifth location in Marlboro, owner Pietro “Peter” Grippo confirmed Monday.

The new restaurant is being built at 260 County Route 520 and is expected to open in January, though a specific date has not yet been set.

Brooklyn Square, which recently earned a top spot on many pizza lists online, already operates in Jackson, Manalapan, Toms River and Bradley Beach.

The Bradley Beach shop was the most recent to open, debuting this past spring.

Grippo’s store, a local hit in Jackson Township, became a national headline when he got an 8.9 score from Dave Portnoy, still one of the Barstool president’s highest scores ever given to a square pie.

Join us in wishing Grippo and Brooklyn Square much success in their latest venture as the brand continues to grow by leaps and bounds.
