Brooklyn woman beaten and robbed of $40K in iPhones by armed crew

BROOKLYN, NY – A woman was ambushed by four men in broad daylight Monday afternoon and robbed of a box containing 40 iPhones worth about $40,000, police said.

The 42-year-old victim was approached around 4:30 p.m. near Senator Street and 5th Avenue in Bay Ridge when three of the suspects flashed firearms and struck her in the head and face, leaving her with lacerations. The fourth suspect grabbed the box of iPhones before the group sped off in a blue Tesla sedan heading eastbound on Senator Street.

Victim hospitalized

Emergency responders rushed the woman to NYU Langone Hospital Brooklyn, where she was listed in stable condition. Police confirmed she suffered injuries to her head and face but was expected to recover.

Suspects sought

The crew remains at large. The first suspect was last seen in a multi-colored jacket, blue sweatpants, and black sneakers. The second wore a black ski mask, white gloves, a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and black-and-white sneakers. The third suspect had on a gray sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and black sneakers, while the fourth wore a black ski mask, gray shorts, black leggings, and black-and-white sneakers.

Detectives are canvassing the area for surveillance footage as the investigation continues.
