Buffalo Man Faces Charges for Filing False Police Complaint

BUFFALO, NY – Treviaco D. Calhoun, 30, was arraigned before Buffalo City Court Judge Phillip Dabney, Jr. last Wednesday on charges of Making a Punishable False Written Statement.

Calhoun allegedly filed a false complaint against a Buffalo Police officer in August 2022, claiming he was assaulted during an arrest.

An investigation revealed the statement to be untrue.

Calhoun, who has five other pending criminal cases, is scheduled for a pre-trial conference on October 25.

If convicted, he could face up to one year in jail.
