Bullets fly in DC as cops swarm Atlantic Street

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A shooting in Southeast D.C. is under investigation after Metropolitan Police Department units responded to the 600 block of Atlantic Street SE, according to a public alert issued late Wednesday.

The shooting occurred in the 7th District, but no lookout information or suspect details have been released. Authorities have not confirmed if there were any injuries.

As of Thursday morning, no arrests have been made and the motive remains unknown. The incident is being actively investigated by MPD.
