TOMS RIVER, NJ – Burger King locations across Ocean County and the Jersey Shore are starting 2026 with bold new flavor and a local touch of comfort. Beginning January 6, guests in Toms River, Brick, and surrounding Shore towns can try the Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper, the latest fan-inspired creation from the chain’s “Whopper by You” platform — where customers help design the next big menu hit.

Following more than 600,000 guest submissions nationwide, Burger King’s new Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper brings together premium steakhouse-style ingredients and that classic flame-grilled Whopper flavor locals know well. The burger features a 4.4-ounce beef patty topped with golden onion rings, crispy bacon, sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese, and creamy peppercorn aioli, all stacked on a toasted sesame seed bun.

“Burger King has an incredibly passionate fanbase that loves the Whopper and constantly inspires us with creative new flavor ideas,” said Joel Yashinsky, Chief Marketing Officer for Burger King U.S. & Canada. “We’re excited to start the year with this delicious new guest-inspired sandwich, and fans can look forward to even more Whopper creations throughout 2026.”

The Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper follows recent fan favorites like the BBQ Brisket Whopper and Crispy Onion Whopper, which proved popular at Shore-area locations last summer. Through the “Whopper by You” platform, guests can continue to customize and submit their dream burger builds online at BK.com/WBY.

To round out the menu, Burger King is also debuting a cozy winter dessert — warm Cinnamon Apple Pie — available for a limited time while supplies last. The new treat pairs perfectly with the Steakhouse Whopper and adds a seasonal, comfort-food finish to any meal.

Burger King restaurants across Toms River, Brick, and the Jersey Shore are now serving the Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper and Cinnamon Apple Pie, kicking off 2026 with big flavor and fan-inspired creativity.
