Burglars Arrested in Southeast After Caught with Stolen TV in D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC – Two suspects were arrested in connection with a residential burglary after a swift response from law enforcement.

On October 16, officers from the Seventh District were dispatched to a burglary in progress in the 2600 block of Birney Place at approximately 7:32 p.m. Upon arrival, officers observed two individuals leaving an apartment building with a television. When the suspects spotted the officers, they abandoned the television and fled on foot. Following a brief chase, both suspects were apprehended.

Thanks to the quick action of the Seventh District officers, 25-year-old Patrick Williams and 35-year-old Darrin Lee Beal, both from Southeast, were charged with Burglary in the Second Degree and Destruction of Property.
