Burglars caught on video stealing cash from D.C. business

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Two suspects forced their way into a Northwest D.C. establishment early Tuesday morning, stealing cash before fleeing the scene, police said.

The burglary occurred at approximately 6:16 a.m. in the 3200 block of 17th Street Northwest, according to investigators. Surveillance footage captured the suspects during the incident, showing them entering the property and taking U.S. currency.

Detectives released images from the security cameras on Tuesday, asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals involved. Authorities have not disclosed the amount of money stolen during the burglary.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case. Anyone with information should call police at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.
