Burglary Incident Leads to Arrests in Annapolis

In the early hours of January 19, 2024, Annapolis police responded to a burglary report in the 1000 block of Martha Court. At approximately 3:30 AM, maintenance workers inspecting vacant apartments discovered two Hispanic individuals squatting in one of the units. Upon being discovered, the subjects fled the scene.

The maintenance workers promptly notified the police and followed the suspects. Police officers, arriving shortly after, successfully stopped and detained both individuals. The maintenance workers positively identified both subjects.

As a result of the incident, one of the suspects was arrested and charged. The second suspect, requesting medical attention, was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center. The police plan to apply charges against this second individual at a later date.

The case underscores ongoing efforts by local authorities to address property-related crimes in the area.
