Former CAIR Volunteer Caught on Camera Demanding Jihad, ISIS to Kill Jews in New York City

New York — The woman was identified Noora Shalas has been reported in a disturbing incident in New York City, according to a video posted today on X.

While reports claim she serves as Director of Government Affairs for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in Kentucky, CAIR says she is no longer affiliated with the organization.

“The person depicted in this video is not an employee of CAIR Kentucky or a director,” said Edward Ahmed Mitchell, a lawyer for the organization. “A woman by the same name served as a volunteer with CAIR Kentucky five years ago. She has not worked with CAIR since then and has no role with our organization.”

Shalash, who was born in Amman, Jordan, and raised in Lexington, Kentucky, holds a degree from the University of Kentucky. She has been a prominent figure in CAIR, an organization dedicated to advocating for the civil rights of Muslims in the United States, since taking up her role.

The controversy erupted from posts on X where users claimed Shalash was involved in an altercation in New York City.

She could be heard calling for Jihad before shouting, “I demand Jihad, I want ISIS to kill all of you.”
