Calvert County Police Blotter: Here’s What’s Happening

Calvert County, MD – The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office has reported a total of 1,572 calls for service during the week of August 21-27, 2023. Among these, multiple incidents of theft and property damage stood out.

Theft on Hoofbeat Trail On August 24, Deputy Fleenor responded to a residence in the 11500 block of Hoofbeat Trail in Lusby. A laptop and work documents were stolen from an unlocked vehicle. The laptop was later found damaged in the roadway, with an estimated property loss of $1,100.

Property Destruction on Fairground Road On August 22, DFC Dymond was called to the 200 block of Fairground Road in Prince Frederick. Two car tires had been slashed, with an estimated damage value of $410.

Theft on Holiday Drive On August 21, M/DFC Burgraff responded to a theft report on Holiday Drive in Solomons. Stolen lawn furniture, described as a green, wrought-iron table with a glass top, was valued at $100.

Stolen Registration Plate Also on August 21, Dep. T. Bowen reported a Maryland registration plate stolen from a trailer located at 30 Church St. in Prince Frederick. The estimated value of the stolen property is $100.

Theft on Deer Court On August 22, M/DFC Burgraff reported another theft in Lusby, this time on Deer Court. An unlocked vehicle was rummaged through, with approximately $5 stolen from the center console.

Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles and report any suspicious activity to the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office at their non-emergency number.
