Calvert County Speed Camera on the Move, Here’s Where It’s Going

HUNTINGTOWN, MD – The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office is relocating an automated speed enforcement camera to the school zone of Huntingtown Elementary School on Huntingtown Road.

The move is part of the ‘Safety for Students Speed Enforcement Program’.

The cameras operate from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, in designated school zones. A citation will be issued if a vehicle is traveling 12 mph over the posted speed limit.

The fine for a school zone speed camera violation is $40 with no points and citations are sent to the registered owner of the vehicle. For more information on speed camera locations, visit the Calvert County Sheriff’s website.
