CAMBRIDGE, MD – Edward Thomas Carroll IV, a 20-year-old Cambridge resident, was apprehended by the Cambridge Police Department early Thursday in the 800 block of Field Crest Rd. Carroll was sought on an active Dorchester County arrest warrant through CPD. Following his arrest, Carroll was transported to CPD for processing and his initial appearance.

Carroll was subsequently released on a $3,000 unsecured bond. The charges brought against him include second-degree assault.

This stems from an incident that transpired on Monday, May 22, in the 800 block of Park Lane where Carroll was reported to have assaulted an 8-year-old child following a school suspension. Charges were initiated against Carroll by the mother of the child, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant by the Court Commissioner.
