Cambridge Man Arrested for DUI

Cambridge, MD — On June 19, at approximately 9:52 p.m., Cambridge Police Department (CPD) officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the WaWa parking lot after the driver failed to yield the right of way during a U-turn on Rt 50 at Roselyn Ave.

The operator of the vehicle was identified as Elshaday Solomon Woldu, 35, of Cambridge, MD. Officers observed signs that Woldu might be under the influence of alcohol. He was asked to exit the vehicle and submit to a Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST), which he did not pass. Woldu was subsequently arrested and later released on citations.

Woldu was charged with failure to yield right of way on a U-turn, driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, and driving a vehicle while impaired by alcohol.
