Cape May Woman Arrested for Child Exploitation

CAPE MAY, NJ – Kathryn Campbell, 23, has been arrested and charged with multiple crimes, including endangering the welfare of a child through the creation and possession of child [censored]ography. The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office and Middle Township Police Department led the investigation.

The arrest stemmed from a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (N.C.M.E.C.) CyberTip that pointed investigators toward Campbell. She was identified as having exploited a minor through a chat platform and possessing child sexual abuse material. Campbell was employed as a school bus aide for the Middle Township school district.

On Friday, a court-authorized search was executed at Campbell’s residence in the 200 Block of Hand Avenue in Cape May Court House. Several items of evidentiary value were seized, which were suspected to contain child abuse material.

Campbell has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child (Manufacturing Child Pornography), a first-degree crime, among other third-degree crimes. She was processed and is currently held at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
