Capital Beltway chaos: Four hurt in multi-car pileup

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD — A multi-vehicle collision on the inner loop of the Capital Beltway sent four people to the hospital Sunday afternoon, including one in critical condition, officials said.

Emergency crews with the Prince George’s County Fire and EMS Department responded at approximately 12:02 p.m. to the crash near Temple Hills Road. Upon arrival, firefighters found multiple vehicles involved and four people injured.

According to officials, one victim sustained critical injuries, while the other three were transported with serious but non-life-threatening conditions. Details on what precipitated the crash have not been released as of this time.
