Carjacking Suspect Arrested After Fleeing to Howard County

BALTIMORE, MD – A swift police response led to the arrest of a 30-year-old male suspect involved in an unarmed carjacking incident in the Western District of Baltimore.

The incident unfolded on March 30, 2024, around 3:24 p.m., when officers were called to the 1900 block of West Lanvale Street. A female victim reported that an unidentified male forcefully removed her from her vehicle and then fled the scene with it. The Baltimore Police Department acted promptly, tracing the suspect’s escape route into Howard County.

Howard County officers were notified and managed to apprehend the suspect in the 9400 block of Ridgeview Road. The man was subsequently transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility in Baltimore, where he faces charges of carjacking among other offenses. The Baltimore Police Department emphasizes the importance of inter-county cooperation in ensuring public safety and bringing perpetrators to justice.
